![]() David Kelton is a great case in point. He contributes to right-wing Republican candidates and causes, and they contribute to him. His wife is an officer in a Republican Club and wrote a letter urging Republicans to vote for Kelton in the Democratic Party Primary because they could still vote Republican in the November general election. He's the poster child for desperate Right-Wing Republicans who will do anything, say anything, and stop at nothing - including pretending to abandon the Repugnant Party - if it will help them get into power where they impose their Right-Wing agenda on the rest of us. He's given money to the Eagle Forum, Tom DeLay's money laundering buddy, Ed Shack, and the Republican Liberty PAC -- that's Republican code for fly the flag high while you screw the working people. Will Democrats represent all Americans, work for full human and civil rights and economic justice, or will Democrats simply offer a different spin on the screw-anyone-to-make-buck politics the Republicans blatantly practice with pride and propaganda? The race for Dallas County Judge in Dallas, Texas may answer that question. Editor
Dallas Observer's Jim Schutze asks the right question: What kind of Democrat do we want running Dallas County?Do Democrats really want Republican Bob Perry's Hey-boy Jenkins to
be Dallas County Judge? Let's hope not. Larry Duncan has a long record
of accomplishment in Dallas and deserves election. Jim Schutze hit the
nail on the head with this article. Read it and get to the polls as fast
you can to vote for Larry Duncan. - FACTpac Editor Sure. Turnout for the Democratic runoff election for county judge on April 13 will be tiny. Few people will vote, but the outcome will be huge. The real issue is the character of the community. You know who the real candidates are, right? Let me paint it for you as if we were looking at an old-fashioned political cartoon. Picture one candidate as a guy in a pinstriped suit with slicked-back hair smoking ... more »

Sean Penn accepted the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 81st Annual Oscar Ceremony on Sunday night for his portrayal of Harvey Milk in the filem “Milk”. Mr. Penn told those who supported the California ban on same-sex marriage that, “it is a good time … to sit and reflect and anticipate their great shame and the shame in their grandchildren's eyes” Thank you. Thank you. You commie, homo-loving sons-of-guns. I did not expect this, but I, and I want it to be very clear, that I do know how hard I make it to appreciate me often. But I am touched by the appreciation and I hoped for it enough that I did want to scribble down, so I had the names in case you were commie, homo-loving sons-of-guns, and so I want to thank my best friend, Sata Matsuzawa. My circle of long-time support, Mara, Brian, Barry and Bob. The great Cleve Jones. Our wonderful writer, Lance Black. Producers Bruce Cohen and Dan Jinks. |
