According to the Washington Post, “In the 48 hours before Hurricane Katrina hit, the White House received detailed warnings about the storm's likely impact, including eerily prescient predictions of breached levees, massive flooding, and major losses of life and property, documents show.”
But this is an administration that brags that they don’t read newspapers. They didn’t take a report titled “Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside The United States” very seriously. They don’t listen.
The White House got a report? Anyone watching CNN, or if you’re a right wing extremist, Fox News, knew that this was a serious hurricane. This report only emphasizes Bush regime incompetence one more time. He’s been in office 5 years. I’m not sure anyone is really listening.
