America's first modern terrorists were Terry Nichols and Timothy McVeigh, white Christian men. The response was not to turn all white Christian men into suspects to be screened at airports, loathed and treated as a potential threat to the country. We did not start boming Buffalo because that is where one of these terrorists was raised.

But what greater threat has this country faced than Nichols and McVeigh?

In the past few weeks, a new breed of white, Christian terrorist has emerged. Within six days, school killings by white, Christian men occured in three states. Yet the news media has refused to label these acts of terrorism.

I can think of no greater act of terrorism than an outsider bursting into a school, taking hostages and killing children execution style. If the tactic of terrorism is used to scare a population, nothing could scare all children enrolled in public and private schools across the country more than these three separate acts of terrorism.

But while the Bush regime continues to try to link Saddam Hussein and Iraq to terrorism, nothing in Iraq ever threatened Americans (other than the handful of Halliburton and other oil executives who faced a loss of profits).

These three recent acts of terrorism are not generating any response from so-called "Homeland Security." While "Homeland Security" continues to strip search elderly airline passengers, the refuse to take a good hard look at the one group that regularly terrorizes Americans - right-wing religious fanatics.

Calls for profiling never include right-wing Christian zealots, the very people who have conducted all domestic-bred terrorism from the Oklahoma City bombing to the recent slaughter of Amish children.

Just as the administration was clearly warned about Osama bin Laden's Sept. 11 plot as revealed recently by former CIA director George Tenet, the administration refuses to address the terrorism by right-wing, white Christian hatemongers.
