On Friday, the Justice Department admitted spying on 3,501 Americans and legal residents. News reports say that this is the first time the Bush regime admits this.
But it's not.
When Attorney General Al Gonzales testified before Congress and was asked if Americans were being spied on, he said, No, not in THIS program! Emphasis is mine. He never lied. He stated the information quite accurately. In the program he was testifying about, he was speaking "truthiness." The spying on Americans was being done in OTHER programs.
