With new revelations about the White House domestic spying program, the Bush regime edges closer to collapse.

Democrats are finally joined by Republicans in their outrage to the largest intrusion on Americans in history, outpacing anything that Nixon ever conceived.

The New York Times reports that “the National Security Agency had collected records of millions of domestic phone calls” while Bush “assured Americans that their privacy is ‘fiercely protected.’ We're not mining or trolling through the personal lives of millions of innocent Americans.”

However, it depends on what Bush’s definition of “innocent” is. I’m not innocent because I have opposed this administration from day one. On September 11, I was on the air questioning Bush and Cheney’s involvement in the disaster. I’m not “innocent” because I have called for the removal of these criminals by any means. I’m not “innocent” because I called his bluff and called on the corporate press to do its job. Five years late, they finally are.

On Thursday, the Justice Department ended an investigation into the illegal spying because its investigators were not given security clearances. What a cleaver ploy – one that even Nixon didn’t use. Stop the investigators by not allowing them to investigate you.

Obstruction of justice is a criminal activity and Bush should be removed from office and jailed for that alone.
