Senate Majority Leader and presumed presidential candidate Bill Frist sent in his paperwork to renew his medical license.

Tennessee regulations require 40 hours of continuing medical education every two years. The papers he signed claimed he had completed that requirement. He has not. The state's law says that doctors who do not meet the continuing education requirement “will be subject to disciplinary action.”

Frist says he is working to clear up the problem.

The problem isn't Frist's not taking the 40 hours of classes. He was busy being a Senator. He hasn't been practicing medicine. The problem is lying on sworn government statement.

If Clinton was impeached over the issue, Frist should not even be considered for the position. I guess it depends on what your definition of lying on a sworn statement is.
