Pia de Solenni, of The Family Research Council was at the Supreme Court for the argument on the Ayotte v. Planned Parenthood case and to speak at a press conference after the hearing in support of requiring parental notification for an abortion with no exception for the health of the mother. Solenni stated that she had to give permission for her daughter to get her ears pierced or to go on a school trip.

Ironically, Mia de Solenni, Pia's 15 year old daughter was on a ski trip with her 10th grade class from St. Mary's Parochial School. Mia broke her leg and was taken to an emergency room where doctors discovered that she was pregnant and had internal injuries in addition to the broken leg. ...

Republican Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham may be a cry-baby, but, he has more integrity than George W. Bush or Dick Cheney.

According to the AP:

Cunningham tearfully resigned Monday after pleading guilty to bribery and admitting he took $2.4 million to steer defense contracts to conspirators using his leadership position on a congressional subcommittee.

The Republican congressman and Vietnam War hero choked up as he announced his resignation outside federal court. Until entering his pleas, he had insisted he had done nothing wrong.

While watching the U. S. House on C-SPAN Tuesday evening, I heard the most disgusting and anti-American statement I have ever heard from the mouth of a U. S. Congressman. Representative Steve King(R-IA), suggested that any Democrats that don't agree with him on the budget should "get in a boat and go to Cuba."

If he has a mother, I hope she will wash his mouth out with soap and give him a good spanking.

Republican Senators Frist and Warner decided to cover their own asses on Tuesday by attacking the President's Iraq policy while the President was traveling in Asia.

This is a new low for the hypocritical Republicans who have viciously attacked the Democrats for cricizing the President while he was traveling outside the country.  The best explanation is that Senate Republicans are cowards who do not have the courage to stand up to Bush when he is in Washington.
