The Liberal AvengerThere’s a great Salon article up called “Beyoncé Knowles, freedom fighter.” It’s about the undercurrent of Western musical culture that has the youth of the Middle East in its grips. It’s nice to see something positive being written about the West’s relationship with the Middle East - and it’s nice to see Middle Easterners being portrayed as real people.
