The Transportation Security Administration will soon extend the Advanced Passenger Information System to cover domestic flights, instead of just international flights. Passengers will have to provide their full name, gender, date of birth, nationality, country of residence, and travel document type and number to the TSA.

The travel industry seems to be welcoming the replacement of the current system to one that is more centralized and uniform, but have concerns about the secrecy and lack of accountability that surround the rules and procedures that the TSA plans to use in screening passengers:

“On the surface, the new Secure Flight program no longer relies on commercial databases and appears to have reduced the number of names on the ‘No Fly’ list,” said Association of Corporate Travel Executives Director Susan Gurley. “It also seems that the responsibility for checking data is no longer abrogated to the airlines. While this is a step in the right direction, it prompts the industry to ask what was the origin of this new data, how is it stored, who has access to it, and how can it be corrected.”

Hillary Clinton made this attack ad Friday morning. The subject? Vote for me or the terrorists will rape your daughter. Although from what I understood of the ad the first time, it was more like “Hillary Clinton will phone your daughter at 3AM”. I dunno how many million dollars she paid for that crap, but she got conned.

Anyway, the same day, flying like a butterfly, stinging like a bee, Obama releases a reply. Watch it here.

I think it’s now obvious Obama is… a NINJA! It just starts like Clinton’s ad, you lay down your guard, and BAM! Obama flips out and kills everyone.

Want another confirmation? Just look at this video from the last Democratic debate. That is just astounding! Clinton attacks, Obama effortlessly bounces it back and it explodes in her face. That’s political martial arts.

McCain was responding to Obama’s criticism of his support for the invasion of Iraq. Have you ever seen a presidential candidate so eager to run away from his own record?

Also, Bush criticized Obama for saying that he would meet with new Cuban dictator Raul Castro. According to Bush, meeting with Castro is the wrong thing to do:

“It will send the wrong message. … It will give great status to those who have suppressed human rights and human dignity,”

The future of Palestine?

An Israeli minister gave warning today that the Gaza faces a “holocaust” if Islamist militants there do not end their daily barrages of home-made Qassam rockets, and their increasing use of Iranian-built Grad missiles.

“The more Qassam fire intensifies and the rockets reach a longer range, they will bring upon themselves a bigger holocaust because we will use all our might to defend ourselves,” Matan Vilnai, the Deputy Defence Minister said.

The use of the term “holocaust” is usually restricted to descriptions of the Nazi genocide of the Jews in Europe in the Second World War, and many Israelis resent its use in any other context. Mr Vilnai’s deployment of the word appeared to show Israel’s growing frustration that Hamas and other militant groups in Gaza refuse to curb their attacks, despite heavy tolls inflicted in Israeli air strikes and tank raids.

As Israeli media relayed his controversial comments, Mr Vilnai’s spokesman was forced to issue a clarification. “The minister used the Hebrew term ’shoah’ which means ‘catastrophe’ and in this context does not refer to the ‘the Shoah’ - the Holocaust,” he said.
