President Bush and Sen. John F. Kerry, in a race dividing Americans far
more along lines of cultural values than economic interests, remain
locked in a dead heat one week before election day, a Times poll has
found.
Bush's message, which stresses his national security record and his
commitment to conservative cultural values, is helping him gain ground
among lower middle-income and less-educated voters ambivalent about his
economic record. Conversely, the message is costing him with more
affluent and better-educated families that have historically supported
Republicans.

Maybe he read this article on commondreams.org, or maybe he listens to the CBC where they actually reported (9-28-04) on the first human-to-human transmission of the Bird flu. I would like to know why the media isn't talking about the possible pandemic that we are facing. This is scary stuff and our 'resolute' leader isn't doing anything to try to ward off this public health crisis! more »

Two companies (ES&S and Diebold) started by two brothers (Bob & Todd Urosevich) with close connections to the Republican Party, will count over 80% of all votes in America using both touchscreens and ballot scanners. Meanwhile, the Department of Justice has held long-time policies that prevent effective oversight and thwart full enforcement of voting rights, and most state elections officials couldn't seem to care less.
