Hu’s visit to the White House was punctuated with American and Chinese protesters who were protesting Chine, Mr. Hu, and Mr. Bush. Apparently, Mr. Bush was embarrassed by the display of free speech. According to Bush’ National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley, Mr. Bush apologized to Hu in private for free speech in the United States. GS

Listening to a program on NPR yesterday I was stunned to hear the right point person consistantly saying that as long as it is the pResident making the orders, it is OK. He has the power to declassify without consideration what he wants, therefore it is not illeagle.

My question was put in a better light by a comment at the Smirking Chimp which stated that if the pResident had declassified certain nukular, de-fence, or anything else that would be considered National Security Issues!! would we stand for it?
