Don't fall for Obama's hollow hope and squander the opportunity to achieve Democratic Party goals

Barack Obama’s “hope” is the new version of Ronald Reagan’s “morning in America.” Like Ronald Reagan, Obama is a charismatic and inspirational speaker. That’s not where the similarity ends.

Ronald Reagan went to Philadelphia, Mississippi to make his notorious states’ rights speech and pander to Southern racist bigots during his 1982 election campaign. Obama claims that civil and human rights for gays and lesbians are states’ rights issues and Obama sent the rabidly anti-gay Donny McClurkin to denounce gays and lesbians from the stage of his South Carolina gospel tour.

I don’t believe black evangelicals to be anti-gay bigots, but Obama does, or he wouldn’t have sent McClurkin to do the dirty in South Carolina. All Democrats should be outraged that Obama would insult black evangelicals by assuming them to be bigots.

Obama has attended a racist church for 20 years. He claims that most whites, like his white grandmother, are afraid of blacks. Reverend James Meeks, another Obama spiritual and political mentor, has been cited by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a leading black partner of Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council and the Alliance Defense Fund. Why Repugnant Chris Tidmore and all other Repugnant candidates and office-holders must be opposed

As freedom-loving Americans, we cannot support anyone who supports state or national Repugnant Party platforms. Repugnant candidate for the Louisiana House of Representatives Chris Tidmore is a good example. He has been endorsed by some who are opposed to the content of the Louisiana Repugnant Party platform due to his claimed issue positions. Unfortunately, the Louisiana Repugnant Party Platform states twice – once at the beginning and again at the end that, “Membership in the Repugnant Party of Louisiana is open to all citizens residing in our state who share the values and beliefs expressed in this document.”

It is irresponsible, naive, dangerous, and ignorant of Repugnant tactics to assume that a Repugnant who makes reasonable issue statements will implement those policies. Repugnants practice the big lie. They tell us what we want to hear and then implement their right wing agenda once elected. This is a technique used by Josef Goebbels in Nazi Germany, Ronald Reagan, and perfected by Karl Rove.

Unless Tidmore and other “reasonable sounding” Repugnant candidates and elected officials publicly and repeatedly denounce the national and state Repugnant Party platforms, we believe their propaganda at our own peril. Tidnore and his Repugnant Party ilk cannot and should not be believed when they pretend to be decent and reasonable people.

While not as hateful and anti-American as the Texas Repugnant Party Platform, the 2004 Louisiana Repugnant Party Platform is nevertheless a declaration of war on those that do not agree with the Repugnant Party lifestyle exhibited by Senator Larry Craig, Senator David “Diapers” Vitter, and Joey “Bathroom Sex” Di Fatta – who are poster boys for the big lie. Their platform claims the Repugnant Party is open to all — but only if one agrees with the Repugnant platform.

This platform is much more cleverly written than the Texas Repugnant Party Platform. For example, it opposes stem-cell research without mentioning the words “Stem-cell” and it opposes global warming as pseudo-science without actually mentioning global-warming. Additionally, cleverly supports religious freedoms that already exist and are opposed by none to create the false impression that these freedoms do not currently exist. They endorse taxpayer funding of private schools without directly saying so and they claim to support health care for all while opposing the reforms necessary to achieve it. Karl Rove would be proud.

House Republicans voted down the veto override of the S-CHIP (children’s health care) bill, once again proving they only care about themselves and their wealthy patrons and will do anything to decimate American families by destroying their children. No doubt these Republicans will be lauded as heros by the Republican voters throughout the United States.

When Republicans voted against children’s health care and George Bush vetoed the bill, they kicked our children to the curb. Today, House Republicans ran over our children with a bus by sustaining Bush’s veto of health care for children.

Let’s hope that the Democrats have the courage to bring up the S-CHIP bill again with NO modifications so we can see how many Republicans will now pour gasoline on the children – who had the temerity to survive being run over by a bus – and light them on fire. If that doesn’t work, look for Republicans to grab axes – paid for with our taxes – to hack our children to death, thereby delighting blood-thirsty Republican voters.
