The Blue State
Here are your morning political clips for Tuesday, September 11, 2006.
First Up: First Daily Show After 9/11 Attacks. I really wanted to post this one yesterday, but it was not available until today. Here is the opening segment of the first Daily Show episode after the 9/11 attacks. Jon Stewart is quite emotional in his commentary.
Second In Line: Olbermann Gives 5-Year Anniversary Monologue. Keith Olbermann explained yesterday how it is shameful that five years later the World Trade Center site has not been rebuilt, and stands as nothing more as a photo-op in the meantime. He also confronted Bush for politicizing 9/11 to invade Iraq, and added that the President is only "gently treated" by his critics. He is REALLY well-spoken.
Third: Colbert Slams "Path To 9/11". Steven Colbert mocks ABC' fictional take on what led to September 11th.
Fourth: Hastert Pulls a Frank Drebin. Like in the movie Naked Gun, House Speaker Dennis Hastert didn't know some of the words to the national anthem.
Fifth, But Not Least: Couric Interviews Bush. You be the judge!
