I know I have said that before, but it is now offical.  The pastor whose church is made up only of his very large family is at it again and this doesn't even make sense, just like most anything else the extreme right does.  I borrowed this next next text from CNN's website:

"I was with the Phelps family. They've launched a disturbing campaign to tarnish the funerals of fallen soldiers. This is a painful drama playing out at dozens of military funerals across the country. The group is led by Fred Phelps. He and his family have picketed and heckled military families at more than 100 funerals since June. They say the soldiers are fighting for an army that represents a country that accepts homosexuality."

I am so not about this...on several levels. 1) A funeral...come on, the person is dead and regardless of how you feel about them you respect the family's time to grieve and mourn their loss. These folks died certainly because of the choice they made to serve in the military, but they died none the less and I am sure their families miss them. 2) Protests are one thing, but the video report shows that they have egged these peoples houses and sent calls saying I am glad your son/daughter got killed? 3) He is obsessed by homosexuality and this country fights hard not to acknowledge our existence and limit our freedoms and these soldiers if anything are fighting for a government that is doing what it can to make sure that gays have no freedoms at all. Personally I think the man needs to be in mental institution along with Pat Robertson and James Dobson. The funny part is that he would probably be even too zealous for them....hehe. I mean really what's he want them todo,  round homosexuals up and put us in camps? I really think it is time that we as a country strike back at these fundamentalists and stop sending them money and elect people that will put them on "persistent ignore". It is time for the government to become secular and not revolve around this "God(tm)" person. It is time that people like Fred Phelps and a local minister in my community who uses the pulpit to fleece the elderly (and he's a local politician so no investigation will ever be conducted)  and all these other people that deliver this message of hate or use their religion as a means of anything other than worship are shut down. In one way I hope the bible is right and these people are taken to task for their behavior by their God(tm) in the afterlife. I know If I were god I'd be embarrassed every time one of these nut jobs opened their mouths.
