"We must have a foreign policy that is both strong and smart. Yes, the Republicans have been strong, but they haven't been smart. And the policy is one big mess, everyone knows it."

George Bush said he wanted to increase the size of the U. S. Armed Forces in an interview with the Washington Post.

We should support our president by implementing a draft with no exemptions except for those incapable of serving due to physical or mental incapacity.

Washington Post | Peter Baker | December 19th, 2006
In an interview with The Washington Post, Bush said he has instructed newly sworn-in Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates to report back to him with a plan to increase ground forces. The president gave no estimates about how many troops may be added but ...   more »

Roderick “Teachers are terrorists” Paige, the failed Bush Administration Secretary of Education and a group of corporate shills have released a report calling for privatizing the public schools. The report advances the Republican agenda by calling for the elimination of teacher pension funds and creating re-training accounts which do nothing for those who cannot afford to fund their account.

Looking at this report reminded me that Democrats. liberals, and progressives must get serious about real family values in opposition to the Repbulcian right-wing family values which are used to label people the Republicans don't like as lazy, immoral, or deficient. So, I wrote ...   more »

I’ve been saying that Bush is the man in charge in his administration and that he is not a puppet of others for a long time. Sirota refers to an Associated Press story which says in part:

White House hopeful Sen. Evan Bayh warned on Monday that Democrats could lose their newfound ...   more »

I really can't stand Evan Bayh. But it's really not Evan Bayh - I can't stand corpses and cures for insomnia who think that because they like the way they look in a dark blue tailored suit they should be President of the United States of America. Joementum II: Biden Boogaloo (and, for that matter Joementum himself) fall into this category.

But still, Evan Bayh really is one of a kind: both a corpse and a cure for insomnia - Democrats' own Frankenstein right in the Senate. He is a man who, last I checked, hasn't ...   more »
