Sex could be the undoing of a family values Republican.

Tunkhannock, Pa. – Four-term Rep. Don Sherwood recently had one of the safest seats in Congress as his conservatism played well in his heavily GOP, rural district in northeastern Pennsylvania. Democrats didn't even bother fielding a candidate in the last two elections.

Then last year Sherwood admitted to a five-year extramarital affair with a woman 35 years his junior. He settled a lawsuit claiming he had choked her.

Constituents were stunned. Many turned angry. And some may be turning to his ...   more »

Here's your brain on drugs") was completely ineffective and actually making them curious about drugs, the Bush administration spent another $200 million on the ads.

Knowing their record of success, maybe Bush should declare war on oil. Within a year of declaring war on oil, we'll have ...   more »
View Article  Republican of the Week: Mark Foley
Mark Foley (R-FL) was Chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus. What a wonderful choice. After all, who knew better about exploiting children than this pediphile Republican?

After ABC News revealed sexually explicit e-mails Foley was sending to teenage congressional pages, he resigned.

Republican leaders have known that Foley was a sexual predator for over a year but protected him. Dennis Hastert should be investigated for ethics violations for endangering teens who work in the House. If Monica Lewinsky, a woman in her 20s, could spark impeachment, then hiding exploitation of a number of teens should be taken equally ...   more »
