The fight over the ABC "docudrama" Path to 9/11 between the Big Boys from the GOP and the Dem Party may be the greatest media treat since, ummm, uh, the last one: the impeachment of Clinton who "did not have sex with that woman," and then lied about not having done it ... or having had it done to him!

However, we the people, are once again the losers in this battle.

Neither the GOP nor the Democrats, (and certainly not the woefully shallow commercial tart ABC,) will choose to tell the truth about how Bin Laden and the angry Third World came to embrace terror as a weapon.

This latest turf battle between the rich and famous is much more serious than the one launched by the Republicans because it does not center on the lurid nature of blowjobs as sex. This one is about which ruling class party ought to be held liable for the "Pearl Harbor" of the 21st. Century, the death of civilians not engaged in the polititics of economic war, and that has led to the greatest imperialist foray since the war in South East Asia.

While the GOPrs are busy slanting the truth of who was most negligent in allowing 9/11 towards their favorite enemy Clinton, the Clintonites, (including prospective President Hillary Clinton,) are busy trying to maintain Wild Willie's refurbished image as Statesman. Which by the way, is an essential campaign strategy for Hillary.

There are two truths:

1- The use of "terrorism" that targets civilians is a crime against humanity. What is "terrorism" in a military war is up for debagte, as always. (i.e., was the firebombing of Dresden or Hiroshima/Nagasaki terrrorism?)

2- Terrorism takes the form of the car bomb, the "suicide" bomber, and an imperialist foreign policy that rapes the land and resources of the world, employs economic warfare in the form of unfair treaties with Third World rulers to the detriment of its native citizens, supports regimes of dictators and employs uniformed forces to facilitate that and suppress and murder the citizens on that land.

Clearly, the Islamic Fundamentalist warriors of Bin Laden, etc. are terrorists. Certainly, the US foreign policy is one of terrorism against the Third World. One cannot have a legitmate argument about the right or wrong of one without the other.

But we see absolutely no reference to the latter by those most responsible for it:

The two ruling parties of the US's corporate state, neither in the argument over ABC's faux depiction of the Path to 9/11 or in the foray of which pathetically inept cluck was presiding at the time. Now there's the crime!
