After the dealings I’ve recently had with black bigots in the Democratic Party, I’m saddened and disgusted — but not surprised — that Barack Obama has shown his true stripe by embracing bigotry against gays and lesbians. Obama has adopted the Republican Southern Strategy to attract homophobes, bigots and segregationists to their party — only Obama would look rather silly pandering to segregationists. so Obama ditched them at the side of the road and pandered to homophobic bigots. As I have stated previously, blacks in my Texas State Senate District 23 block-voted against equal rights for gays and lesbians in the resolutions committee at the most recent convention. Then, on Labor Day, Senator Royce West — who is black and the State Senator for District 23 — made the egregious claim that same sex marriage is simply one issue and that we likely agree on most others. True enough, but it is my civil rights that are being ... more » Sunday, October 28

Geoff Staples Bush wants $200B for Iraq. The money currently allocated will last through January. This sets up a dynamic the Democrats can use against Bush and the Republicans. The key is to back Bush into a corner that will heap public scorn on him and Republicans who side with him. Bring up issues that help the Democrats such as S-CHIP. Make it clear that our children are just as important as Bush’s war and if Bush wants to keep his war going, the least he can do is sign S-CHIP, because the Democrats won’t give him another penny for the war until our children have health care. If he tries to use it against us, the answer is, “Bush doesn’t care about children. Our troops are in Iraq fighting for our children – which will do no good if they aren’t healthy enough to have a good life. Then bring up issues on which the Republicans have an advantage such as national security. Bring up the 9/11 commission recommendations. Pass stronger legislation with proper funding to tie Bush’s hands and implement it. Once again: We won’t pass additional money for the war until the homeland is secure. Another good ... more » Tuesday, October 23

Democratic cowards Altmire, Carney, Donnelly, and Shuler were so afraid of the Republicans that they voted to table (and in favor of the censure). Eight more Democrats were so terrified they couldn’t even vote (listed below). I guess we know who has a yellow stripe down their back, don’t we? Sadly, Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA), wimped out after the Democrats had won and went to the floor of the House to apologize for his remarks. Rep. Pete “Yellow Stripe” Stark should be ashamed of himself. Since Mr. Boehner introduced the resolution censuring Mr. Stark, here are a few quotes from Rep. John “I knew Mark Foley was molesting pages” Boehner: “I promised the President today that I wouldn’t say anything bad about … this piece of shit (Immigration) bill.” ——————- “Those opposing the surge in Iraq are wimps.” ——————- Wolf Blitzer: “… The loss in blood, the Americans who ... more » |

Imprisoning the next black generation
In the highly competitive race for black evangelical votes in South Carolina, McClurkin just might give Obama the needed edge. However, that edge will come at a high price. It reveals that Obama is not only a vote-whore, but a candidate who plays the race card as well. — Washington Blade
