I am worn out by the accusations that we on the left are angry haters.

I do not hate George W. Bush. I hate what he is doing to our country -- Love the sinner, hate the sin. As a Christian, I take that seriously.

Further, it has been my experience that when someone constantly uses their religion to establish their credibility as a decent person, you better hold onto your wallet and run. In Bush’s case, you better hold onto your children so they aren’t sent to Iraq to die in Bush’s Crusade.

George W. Bush's religious beliefs are sincere in the sense that he is a dry-drunk who replaced his addiction to alcohol for an addiction to religion. This means that while he may be religious, his spirituality has no depth. And, it is the reason he is so misguided and dangerous. Dry-drunks use religion to justify their actions. They don't seek an understanding of God's plan for them.

Finally, I know people here in Dallas who had their children in school with the Bush children and Bush was known as a mean, ill-tempered bully who exploded at the drop of a hat and terrorized his children and any others who happened to be in the vicinity.

I've never heard anyone who knew the Bushes when they lived in Dallas say that they saw Bush hit his children, but it was pretty obvious he was emotionally abusive. In one instance, he went to pick up the girls - then in elementary school - at the home of another parent. When he arrived, the girls were in the backyard playing. So, he ran through the house into the backyard, grabbed the girls, and dragged them back through the house. The Bush girls were crying. The other children present were crying and the girls were shoved into Bush's car. He drove off leaving his daughters' books and other belongings behind because he was in such a rage.

The whole point of this is that I pray for our country and that we will be delivered from Bush's reign. So, I do not and will not pray with Bush to help him desecrate our country and our planet.

I also pray that Bush will wake up and realize the harm he has caused. When I see him confessing what he has done, sincerely apologizes, and prays for God's forgiveness, I will be thrilled to pray with him.

Until then, I can only pray that he will receive God's grace, and that his ability to wreck havoc and destruction are minimized or that he is impeached and removed from office.

Most of all I am tired of the right-wing hate brigade pointing their fingers at us when they should be pointing their finger at themselves.
