Re: Burying Ron Paul: Digg.com and the Free Republic
by

I am the Republican Party. I am 61 (not as you suggest a small mind of mush); I am an independent business man. I voted for Nixon (ugh), Regan, Bush 1 and Bush the ingrate. I have been active in politics as a citizen for the last 15 years. The only spam I know about is what shows up in my inbox. Despite following a link from Ron Paul's web site to Digg.com, I never understood the significance of "Digging" an article. Thanks for the info.
I am stunned at the people who criticize the zealous nature of Ron Paul supporters. That energy is what elections are about. People coalesce around someone they get excited about and go to the polls and vote.
Revolutionary ideas like individual liberty, keeping an overpowering central government at bay (both here and abroad) and letting people keep more of THEIR money are sadly not mainstream in our country or the Republican Party; such ideas have to be introduced from the political margins. Then like Ron Paul's ideas, they find their way into the minds of people; they take on importance and political change takes place. Thank God he has the courage and the intellect to do such a service for our political process.
Country before party.
