"We must have a foreign policy that is both strong and smart. Yes, the Republicans have been strong, but they haven't been smart. And the policy is one big mess, everyone knows it."
- Senator Chuck Schumer

OK~ I hope I do this right as I am not as blog savy as you guys! I feel the need to interject my position here. Please bear with me. I am a 46 year old woman who's lived mostly in the south & east her whole life. I voted for Carter when I was 18, but since then voted for Republicans. I voted for Bush (twice) unfortunately. I'll admit, I'm ashamed of my record. I never took the time to really investigate what was happening in my government like I should have. I was busy raising kids & homeschooling & such. Well, now I have time to apply myself & am disgusted with what has happened to my country & my leadership. I was ready to quit voting altogether when I heard a program on NPR one day & they kept talking about Ron Paul. I'd never heard of him (this was 2 months ago), so I have been doing internet searches to find out more about him. That's how I found this site. I must say that you have it all wrong about Ron Paul supporters. From my experience (and I now am one), we are just all so excited to have found someone who has been so consistent in his votes for 20 years. He has so much knowledge about economics and foreign policy and he makes so much SENSE! He does not stand in the same line with the Republican NeoCons that have taken over the party. You should be ashamed to so narrow-mindedly want to destroy the party when the only man who is decent enough to be president is in that party. Stop being such a partisan & EDUCATE yourself!! I am disgusted with both parties. None of those frontrunners would make a damned bit of difference to me from either party. Ron Paul is different & is determined to CONTINUE his fight to restore our constitutional liberties & get us out of that godamn war. There, I've set myself up for it, so let me have it!
